Yad Vashem’s Educational Philosophy Part 1/3: Introduction


Teaching the Holocaust can be the most challenging and
difficult subject we teach. The Holocaust is a trauma, and the question for the teacher
is: How do you teach the trauma without traumatizing your students? If the teacher doesn’t have
a philosophy and tools, he can be stuck. Therefore, we in the International School
of Holocaust Studies developed an applied model of how to teach the Holocaust.
