THE SIMILARLY SIZED UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS REPORTED 31 WHILE TEXAS TECH REPORTED 24 OVER THE SAME TIME PERIOD. ROBERT:AND THE DEPARTMENT HAS HANDED OUT SOME LARGE FINES TO UNIVERSITIES RECENTLY.EARLIER THIS MONTH, IT IMPOSED ITS LARGEST-EVER FINE FOR BREAKING THE CLERY ACT.MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY MUST NOW PAY FOUR-AND-A-HALF MILLION DOLLARS FOR ITS HANDLING OF THE LARRY NASSAR SCANDAL.AND LAST YEAR, THE FEDS FINED THE UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA NEARLY ONE-MILLION DOLLARS FOR FAILING TO REPORT SOME SEXUAL OFFENSES.THE FINE WAS LATER REDUCED TO JUST UNDER 400-
