TEACHERS FROM ALL OVER SOUTHERN WISCONSIN GOT TOGETHER TO DESIGN EDUCATIONAL GAMES FOR THE CLASSROOM, TODAY AT THE WISCONSIN INSTITUTE FOR DISCOVERY, SEVERAL EDUCATORS JOINED THE FIELD DAY LAB TEAM TO CREATE DOZENS OF SIXTH GRADE SCIENCE GAMES. THIS IS THE SECOND YEAR WHERE THEY DEVELOPED FUN AND EDUCATIONAL VIDEO GAMES AND APPS TO ASSIST STUDENTS. DAVID GAGNON DIRECTOR OF FIELD DAY LAB 34:34 “OUR VISION HERE IS TO PRODUCE ENOUGH GAMES THAT WE’RE REALLY COMING ALONG SIDE WITH TEACHERS NOT WITH A PREPACKAGED CURRICULUM, BUT WE ARE HONORING THE FACT THAT TEACHERS ARE ON THE GROUND EVERY SINGLE DAY AND WE’RE TRYING TO HONOR THEIR CREATIVE IMPULSES.” THESE IDEAS WILL BE THE FOUNDATION FOR MINI-GAMES EXPERIMENTS FOR STUDENTS. THE GROUP WILL DEVELOP ONE HIGH-IMPACT GAME A MONTH TO BE USED BY EDUCATORS WORLDWIDE FOR FREE.
