First of all we will talk about crucial date of Age Limit and Educational Qualification. Let’s try to understand What is Crucial Date? Crucial Date is that date on which you should meet all these criteria (Age limit & Educational Qualification) For SSC Selection Post the crucial date is 1st August 2018 which means your age limit and and educational qualification should be complete till this date and you should be ready with age bracket and degree till the date 1st August 2018. Additionally, let us know what is the actual age limit to apply for SSC Selection Post? As you all know there are 130 posts for the Selection Post, so it is natural that all the post have different age limit. But, if you generalize this then you should be between the 18 – 30 years age bracket and after this it will vary from post to post. Your Degree should be recognized by the Distance Education Council. Distance Education Council is Government of India Body and your degree should be recognized by this. But, those who have completed their Diploma Degree or Diploma holders i.e after 10th Standard the three years Diploma course are they eligible? Yes! Diploma Holders can also apply for this post. About Vacancies released by the SSC are tentative because they are basically released from various departments for which these posts are made available. This is a natural thing, that in future this Department might do some alteration. Therefore, as of now consider these vacancies tentative. Coming towards Application Process Is the Application process Offline or Online and how to pay the fees? SSC has made the application process Online and the Application Fees is Offline. i.e., through SBI challan. Do not get confused, after filling the Online Application Form, Challan will be generated which you have to pay Offline in any of the SBI Branch. You can fill the Challan till 3rd October. But, you must generate this Challan on/before 30th September till 5 p.m. If you have generated the Challan before this date, then you can submit it in any SBI Branch till 3rd October. You have to generate your Challan before 30th September, which is the last date to apply till 5 p.m. You can submit this Challan till 3rd October i.e., within three days. Going towards next question, Can we apply for more than one posts? Yes! you can definitely apply for more than one posts, but you have to fill separate application for every posts and have to pay separate application fees for it. After this when it comes to examination, then your admit cards will be released separately by SSC. Now we are applying for SSC Selection posts and our Application Process is complete now. However, sometimes your application form gets rejected So what could be the reasons for rejection of application form? There are some reasons therefore you should not commit any mistake so that your application form is not rejected. Some of the mistakes are – Your Application form is incomplete. There are variations in your uploaded Signature. Your Photographs are hazy or Blurred. You haven’t paid the Application fees or haven’t paid as per the given Instructions or if you are over-aged or under-aged candidate Due to all these reasons, your application form might get rejected. Therefore, do not commit these mistakes. Let’s proceed towards exam and selection process related queries. First query is What are the qualifying percentage for various categories in the Computer Based Test? The Qualifying Percentage for unreserved category minimum percentage is 35% For OBC it is 30% and for Other Categories it is 25% This was regarding qualifying percentage now, What is the selection ratio? The selection ratio is, if you apply for any such post for which there are less than 5 vacancies, then the selection ratio during document verification after the CBT exam is considered as 1:20 If you are applying for any such post that have minimum vacancies more than 5 then the selection ratio for it will be 1:10 Since we are discussing about selection procedure then tell us regarding negative marking in the Computer Based Test? The negative marking is 1/4th i.e 0.50 marks will be deducted in case you give a wrong answer Therefore, keep in mind about the 1/4th negative markings. Coming towards last question, Our last question is, in case of a Tie if someone has similar marks then how it will resolve and how will the selection process conducted? and who will get selected? In case of a Tie there are some criteria that will be conducted one after the another to resolve the Tie. First of all your total marks in Computer Based Exam will be compared after this, total marks obtained in Part A even after this the Tie do not break then total marks obtained in Part B Even after all this the tie is not resolved then your date of birth will be compared and the candidate older in age will get advantage. If this also fails, then the final selection will be conducted based on the Alphabetical order of your name. First of all Computer Based Test marks will be compared if they match then, Part A marks will be compared if they also match, then Part B marks will be compared even this fails, then seniority will be considered, and senior candidate will be given preference, if both of you are senior, then as per alphabetical order you will be given preference.
