Social welfare has always been there but if one compares the GDP growth of Singapore to the percentage set aside for welfare, I must say our leaders are right to never admit Singapore as a Welfare state but quietly set up the necessary safety nets. Providing welfare is not something to be boastful about.

  2. Welfare!?! You want to bankrupt SG? You want SG to become the next Greece? Want SG to be in trouble like the US?? You want the man to become construction workers and women to be maids in other countries??
