Learning Through Play: Developing Children’s Executive Function Skills


Executive function is the ability to
regulate our thoughts, our actions, and our
emotions. Learning through play is a really positive
way to build executive functions. It’s possible to get a child to focus on an
activity and try to work through all the
challenges that are presented in a game and there’s evidence that this kind of
focused play can build executive functions.
