Learning Swedish: My second video totally in Swedish after 6 weeks learning! Me talking in Swedish!

Hi everyone! My name is Jonny and welcome to episode six of this series where I talk about how I am learning Swedish. So, my name
is Jonny and I come from England and I have been learning Swedish for only six weeks. I know that my Swedish isn’t that good but I hope that you can understand me a little bit. In this video I talk about how I’m learning Swedish. Yeah, I am happy today because for the first
time this week I can now think a little bit in Swedish. Now, I like Swedish and I can
think a little bit in Swedish. I think this is an important moment because when I can
think in a language I can learn that language more quickly. I hope that now I can think
a little bit in Swedish I can speak better Swedish soon. This week I have learnt lots
of Swedish and, yeah, every day I have watched Swedish TV but I have now finished The Bridge
– that’s not so good! And I have also finished Quicksand. But I have found a new programme
in Swedish called Fallet, on Netflix, but I have now finished Fallet too! This isn’t very good! But now
I hope I can ‘find’ – how do you say ‘find’ in Swedish? I don’t know but I hope that I
can ‘find’ a new programme in Swedish. But yeah, Fallet was a funny programme and The Bridge was a perfect programme. It was perfect for me. I love The Bridge and Quicksand was a very interesting programme, a very, very good programme. I love Quicksand and The Bridge. Yeah, and Fallet was very funny. But also I have this book which I read every night and I have also read
this book. Yeah, that’s perfect. I love the books…’books’? I love the books ‘books’? I hope that’s good. I love these books because they help me learn Swedish quickly… I hope! Yeah, that is all
for today but I hope you can tell my Swedish is ‘better’, how do you say ‘better’ in Swedish,
I hope it is ‘better’ but maybe that is a Dutch word! My vocabulary in Swedish isn’t
so good and my grammar isn’t very good either but I hope you can understand me a little
bit. That is all for today and I hope that you can see I am better at Swedish now than
I was two weeks ago in this ‘andere’ (other) video. Can you say ‘andere’? That’s a German
word but I hope you can say ‘andere’ for ‘other’ in Swedish but I know ‘andere’ is ‘other’
in German. I know that ‘andere’ is a German word but I know that ‘frukost’ is a Swedish word
and also German word ‘frustuck’ so I hope ‘andere’ is ‘other’ is Swedish too! But (mindblown!) you can see my ‘other’ video here (see the link above!) That is all for today. I will
see you next time, next week on Kick Start Languages. Thanks very much for today, have
a good day today. Bye!

  1. Hopefully you can see that I have improved (if only a little!) from the video I made 2 weeks ago! I got loads of feedback from that one on Twitter which was really useful so any more feedback is gratefully received! Tack! Jonny
