He’s got two sides short, and two sides long. Oliver Oval, a football shape. Some think he’s an egg, or even a grape. Derek Diamond, he has four sides. All of them are diagonal lines. Hailey Hexagon, she lives in a hive. She has six corners and six sides. Heidi Heart, we all love you. You come out to play on Valentine’s Day. Ozzie Octagon, he loves bike rides. He has eight corners and eight sides. Stanley Star, he comes out at night. He’s friends with the moon, and shines really bright. Now, let’s play a fun thinking game with our Shape Buddies. Can you think of something that looks like Oliver Oval? What about something we look into to see our reflection? A Mirror. This Mirror is a oval. Can you think of something that looks like Derek Diamond? What about something we fly high in the sky on a windy day? A Kite. This Kite is a diamond.
