Dear Students, we are facing a global turning point: We see leap-frogging technological innovations,
fast moving labor markets, a changing acceptance of technology by society,
with an increasing sense for sustainability. This places completely new demands
on student education! As part of our TUM AGENDA 2030, we are going to
initiate a future-oriented reform of our education
and learning concepts. We want to activate your different talents and motivations,
individually expand your competence profiles, and provide you with the necessary key digital competencies. We want to enable you to collaborate creatively
with people from different backgrounds, to bring together the working methods, tools and
knowledge of different disciplines as required. We want to enable you to act in awareness of
social responsibilities and along ethical and moral values. Students are right at the heart of everything we do! Therefore, I would like to see you engaged as
highly committed actors in this reform process. Let us work together to shape teaching
in a future-oriented manner. Therefore, we are going to launch the TUM Future Learning Initiative.
As the new president, I invite you to contribute creatively to our teaching reform
with your own ideas, future vision and needs. Give us your input for the teaching of tomorrow.
Submit your thoughts by April 30, 2020. Shaping the future of our coming student
generations must be worth every effort! Get involved and become part of TUM’s future experience!
