  1. Hi Everyone, It's Kirsten here ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for all the great comments and likes .. 2. Your web sight is Amazing! Thank you for the YouTube clips. It's so frustrating that SOMETIMES I hit all the notes and ay when song and then air leak form somewhere and [email protected]#$##! Sounds terrible or no sound st all. It looks like a simple thing g to play!! Does anyone else experience this frustration?

  3. Hello. I keep squeaking on the three bottom notes, D, E, and F#. I can sometimes hit the note if I blow quietly but can never make it the whole way through a scale. Is there anything I can improve on to help those notes come out? I have tried adjusting my finger positions but it does not seem to help. Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

  4. Simple songs go fairly well, the keys at least, but I can;t seem to properly close the holes off. I don't think it's a good thing if you have to press reall hard to fully get the holes closed? What am I doing wrong?

  5. will a cheap tin whistle let me play and learn? i got one for 20 bucks with a book and CD. Or is it kinda like a harmonica where a cheap one will cause a lot of greif and have a bad sound

  6. I want to start playing the low F tin whistle, admittedly after watching The Sidh's "Shake that Bagpipe," and eventually start playing bagpipes. Is it ok to start with a low F tin whistle (looking at the MK Kelpie)?

  7. I'm not sure if you're ever gonna read this but maybe you could zoom (and show this part on the left side of the screen) to the whistle/fingers when playing the tunes or showing how to hold the whistle. You could also add the sound you're playing at the moment. I think this would help many beginners ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. I need help! The 3 bottom holes of My tin whistle squeeks all the time even though I cover the holes and I blew hard by covering the hole on the mouth piece.

  9. ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜” you have to blow in the black thing?๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜” i tried for hours in despair the other end ๐Ÿ˜ซ๐Ÿ˜ซ nobody told me .the whistle came without instructions or tutorial.๐Ÿ˜•

  10. I seem to be able to create two tones for every finger position – one where a lot of air goes out the slit on the top, and one where less air goes out that slit.
I'm still working on creating the tone I want when I want!

  11. I looked on line to sign up for lessons and the site was blocked by my virous protection. There was a message that malicious software was associated with the site. I'm sure that OAIM isn't guilty of fraud. Do you think something is wrong that could be fixed?

  12. How do you know if you have a D whistle or a C whistle? Mine seems out of tune. It seems to have all the same holes. Maybe I'm not blowing into it correctly?
Edit: it has a c on it that is circled. I don't know if it's the copyright logo or the key

  13. My goodness! you would think it would be so easy! just six little holes! I'm squeaking on the lower notes all the time! how frustrating!! well…here's hoping practice will remedy that! Please tell me it does!!

  14. Any advice for someone (like me) who plays the baroque recorder and tries to learn tin whistle?
    Greetings from Germany!

  15. How do I breathe into this instrument? Even with my fingers jammed firm against the notes my whistle will go from a low pleasant tone to a shrill dying animal for seemingly not reason. Its brand new and the mouthpiece if firmly on the pipe. Its something to do with how I am breathing.

  16. I can never get the high notes, they always turn into shrill whistles ๐Ÿ™ itโ€™s not that air is leaking out, itโ€™s something with how I blow in to it

  17. Can you please tell us where to find and purchase the entire intro song as played by Thomas Johnston?
It's an amazing rendition, an inspiring piece to beginning players, but frustrating to have the video tease and not find the entire song anywhere.
Can we contact Thomas to obtain it?
    Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. Someone gave me a tin whistle years ago. Tried to learn on my own. In Asia. You can imagine. Kirsten is a Godsend.

  19. After today I own 2 tin whistles. One i purchased in Ireland the other came today in My Ireland Box. Thanks for these lessons. I hope to get it down…a little anyway.

  20. Hi, what brand is your tin whistle? Iโ€™m sorry if this was already asked, I couldnโ€™t find it.
Just looking for suggestions for solid models…
