Helena’s Family Fun Fest provides activities and health education for kids

hundreds of kids celebrated a good health and good times in Helena this morning and ten Jonathan in Burien was there for st. Peter’s health annual Family Fun Fest more than 500 kids signed up to take part in the annual Family Fun Fest in Helena Saturday morning st. Peter’s health and its partners have organized the event for 15 years today was a terrific event bringing together people who care about improving the health of our community the day started with a fun run for kids and families in Centennial Park hope faith and Evan gravely were among the runners it’s just really fun and I get a lot of energy out it’s just really fun though there was smoke in the air that didn’t stop the runners it was a really good opportunity for us to remind our community that when it smoky outside it’s time to reduce the intensity of our activities it was a fun run and so we encourage folks just to take it at their own pace and enjoy the day after the run kids moved on to an activity fair at the Great Northern town center partners provided a variety of games and activities from obstacle courses and street hockey to a dunk tank many of the activities came with important information like when experts demonstrated proper helmet fitting and gave away a number of helmets our focus with this event was to put fun first and that allows us then to have some conversations about health and wellness kids who took part said there was a lot for them to enjoy everything I enjoyed everything I enjoyed everything in Helena Jonathon amberyan MTN news
