  1. I’m 12 and can play the ukulele so I thought I’d try and go one better with a guitar lol I’m failing

  2. FINALLY!!!! I FOUND A COACH, not just some guy on youtube who shows off (and puts guitar lessons next to his name). Thank you so much for doing this.

  3. i honestly dont know how to thank you because i just bought a guitar today and i quickly started playing because of this lesson

  4. Thank you so much! Starting guitar as a nine year old can be hard, but you made it so much easier! Thank you again!

  5. Thank you, Nate this is not my first Guitar, but it is for playing I also watched your video here just to get the feel of your lessons and I am so impressed I also went to your web site and signed up for your lessons that will show up in my email. I know your lessons will be so helpful and I know I'm going to learn quickly because you make it so simple.

  6. Here in 2019! I recently bought a First Act guitar, picked up at Goodwill for $4.99. It's child size, and compact enough to keep in the back seat of my car. I own an electric guitar, but since I'm still learning, I want to have a guitar with me anywhere I am so I can get to know the strings and frets and the notes they help create. Until now, I've relied on my ability to pick things up by ear, but I found this video and was amazed at how quickly I could learn these chords and play them back by memory, even hours after watching the video. I'm cheap, I enjoy learning how to do things on my own, preferably for free. Which is why I bought that cheap little guitar. And that's why I'm so grateful for this channel! My dream of learning to play music has begun.

And to all of you who are watching this and are taking your first steps, don't give up! Think of how much better life is with music, and how lucky we are to have this knowledge base available to us. Do your future self a favor, and pick up your guitar, and start learning those chords.

  7. This is not a "first" lesson. Is just tips for beginners.
First lesson would be, where the notes are, what a fret is, how to create other notes and so on.

  8. I swear to God I'm in shock!
I did it pretty quickly and guess what? Added 2 more strokes, 1 back and 1 down on each notes just because it sounds more complex. I'm in shock…. I play left handed also.

  9. Ok, for all those who are thinking they just "can't do it", I'm 62 and just starting. Bucket list sort of thing. I've always thought "there's just no way" I can ever learn to play the guitar.

Nate Savage's First Guitar Lesson for Beginners is presented in a such a kind, positive, supportive way that I feel comfortable from the beginning. So, I'm in the process of going from a "can't do it" to "maybe I can" to "YES, I CAN do it". For me it's a process of learning self-discipline, which is not necessarily one of my strong points. All I'm trying to say here is that if I can give it a shot, so can you.

The added value for me is that I have to focus focus focus and practice practice practice so it gets me out of my head, and all that "white noise" of life. I can't express how grateful I am to you Nate for your time to pass your talent on to us—talent to play, talent to teach. You've given me one of the most valuable things one person can give another: HOPE.

So this is long-winded and some people will think it's sappy, but for me it's important that we just try to help each other make it though this thing called life. Ok, yeah I' grew up in the late '60's in case you couldn't tell.

  10. Only in the middle and I had to comment because I actually feel like I can learn from you. Thanks in advance 🖤

  11. I’ve always wanted to learn guitar it’s been my dream since I was a kid but it’s too hard even from this video I can’t do it

  12. Thanks Nate, I'm inspired by your thoughtfulness and patience, and appreciate you taking the time to show someone who would really love to be able to learn to play the guitar for my own enjoyment and share the beauty of music with others. Thank you. ✌🏻🇺🇸

  13. Thanks a lot! This video really got me into the guitar! I'm only 12 and my grandpa had an old guitar and gave it to me. I'm also learning piano right now but I still try my best to learn both at the same time. I'm pretty good at it but I never played guitar before. This video really helped me out, as I never played guitar before. Thanks!

  14. I never touched a guitar in my 55 years of life and I think that you're a great teacher. Keep it up, thanks alot.

  15. Funny, I stumbled on this song as a learner on my own. The second chord in the real song is all up strokes and syncopated on the upbeat. First chord down.

  16. Thanks so much! I'm terrible at the guitar, and now I might be able to finally be good at the guitar! Thank you su much!
