DINOSAURS | The Dr. Binocs Show | Best Educational Videos for Kids | Peekaboo Kids

Hey there! Oh, don’t worry. This is not real, I was just
watching a movie! Hey friends, the dinosaurs are extinct but
the myths surrounding them aren’t! So why don’t we bust some dino myths today? Zoom in! The word Dinosaur is misinterpreted
as Terrible Lizards. Well, Dinosaurs were neither
terrible nor lizards. The actual meaning of the word
Dinosaur is Fearfully Great. Well, many think that Dinosaurs were huge. But you’d be surprised to know
that the Microraptor,.. ..is the smallest species discovered yet. It’s a crow-sized Dinosaur from China Many believe that humans and
dinosaurs co-existed. Ahaan! Dinosaurs became extinct.. ..about 65 million years ago. Whereas the first traces of human beings
were just 6 million years old. I know it’s kinda funny but a myth says,.. ..that the Dinosaurs died because
mammals ate their eggs! Hahah! That’s not true. Because the mammals that lived at that time,
were far too small to eat their eggs.. ..probably, just 2 grams. See that? Well, that’s a Pterosaur. Flying reptiles are often confused to be
Dinosaurs but that’s not true! Marine reptiles such as Plesiosaurs and
Ichthyosaurs weren’t dinosaurs. Dinosaurs were terrestrial beings. Now comes the biggest myth! An asteroid impact alone resulted
in the extinction of Dinosaurs. Well, the impact could have killed
a lot of dinosaurs.. ..but many argue that the
dinosaurs at that time,.. ..were on the verge of extinction. And the after-effects of the
asteroid impact such as.. ..giant tsunami, acidic rain
and a cloud of dust.. ..played a major role in their extinction! Trivia Time. The first Dinosaur bone discovered was
thought to come from an Elephant! Not all Dinosaurs had Scales
on their bodies,.. ..some had feathers too!” Hope the myths surrounding dinosaurs
have become extinct in your minds now? Wait for more myths to be busted! This is me Zooming out! Tune in next time for more fun facts.

  6. 1:05 They Actually DONT mean The Actual Dinosaur They Mean Animals That Descended From Dinosaurs adheres An Example They Would Classify A Bird as A dinosaur Because Of Flying dinosaurs

  7. The asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs was called Chicxulub. But do you want more things about dinosaurs? Alright let's start…….First we're gonna learn about the death of a Velociraptor: A Velociraptor dies and falls into a lake or river, where it sinks to the bottom. The flesh and other soft body parts rot away, or are eaten by water creatures. The bones and teeth are buried under layers of mud and sand. Silica and other minerals from the rock seep into the bones, filling any available gaps. Over a period of millions of years, minerals replace the originnal dinosaur bones entirely, but perserve their shape and form. The bones have become fossils. If the rock containing the fossils is lifted up and eroded, the fossils become exposed. They may be seen by a scientist so that they can be excavated. The Ice Age World: About 2 mya, the climate of the earth underwent a profoui of change. Long periods of intense cold lasting thousands of years began, interrupted by equally long periods of warm weather. During the cold periods, which we now call ice ages, Arcticstyle weather spread across much of the globe.
The Mesozoic Era:The vast stretches of time over which the Earth has existed have been divided up by scientists into named divisions. Each division has certain features in common. For instance the time from the start of life around 248 mya time from the start of life; The time from 65 mya to today is called the Cainozoic Era, or 'the time of modern life; The time between 248 and 65 mya is known the Mesozoic Era, meaning 'the time of middle life; Dinosaurs lived during the Mesozoic Era. Every Era is divided into Periods, each of which has a distinguishing feature. The Cretaceous Period (144-65 mya), for example, saw deep beds of chwlk laid down in many parts of the world. These illustrations are 'snapshots' showing some of the dinosaurs that were alive at different times in the Mesozoic Era.

The word raptor (which means 'thief' or 'hunter') is used to describe the small, fast-moving hunting dinosaurs of the Cretaceous Period(144-65). Scientists do not agree on the exact relationships between the different raptor groups, but they probably are related somehow. All these dinosaurs walked on their hind legs, and used their claws for hunting.

Giant claw:The claw of Baryonyx was over 30 cm long. Making this the largest dinosaur claw ever found.
Good vision:Troodon was 2 m long and lived in North America 70 mya. It'skull had big sockets for large eyes. Indicating that it was a light hunter.
Scent detector:T-rex had very large nasal cavities which indicated to scientists that it had a very good sense of smell.
The Irish elk:Scientists used to believe that. Because Megaloceras's antlers were so big. They could only have been used for display purposes-to scare of rivals. In the 1980s. However. Research proved that these antlers were used for fighting. The antlers of Megaloceras reached 3.7 m across and weighed around 220 kg. Meaning that they made up an amazing 15 per cent of the entire animal.

Edit:Please take care of the earth………..were pumping lots of CO2 in the air………..cutting 1 million+ trees…………throwing rubbish randomly……………resulting:150-200 species get extinct every day…………..Our earth is filled with the Greenhouse effect making our earth even hot everyday………….#gogreen
Hey guys on October 29/10/18 is go green so hurry up and take care of our lovely earth:D

  8. Do you want more stuff about dinosaurs 14463_jurassic period: seeax tyrannosaurus Rex leoplurodon gatakii stegodocus rex 1117_triassic period :adgejfkwfaaex t-rex 3776_ Cretaceous period

  9. Not to be rude or a nerd but the dinos ignoring the brachiosaurus in the movie look nothing like real dinos. The world Dinosaur still is Greek for terrible lizard deinos meaning terrible and sauros meaning lizard. Microraptor is not the smallest Dino and the real smallest is unknown I would say. not all mammals that lived during the age of dinosaurs were small or to small to Dino eggs because they likely eat the eggs and some mammals like the nearly wolf sized repemomus (I can’t spell it right) from China could eat baby dinosaurs and small dinosaurs. Not all dinosaurs live on land because some feathered dinosaurs could fly, and spinosaurs like spinosaurus could swim. The bones of the first discovered dinosaur (megalosaurus) was thought to be from many other things

  10. Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeereereeeeeereeeeeeeeeee e ry. Good video

  11. Uh, Compsognathus is the smallest dinosaur, it's only the size of a chicken! 😐😐😐😐😐😐😐

  12. The Triceratops didn't exist.
What people think was Triceratops was actually a teenage Torosaurus (a lesser known dinosaur) in which the third horn disappeared.
    Dinosaurs didn't roar.
This is related to the fact that dinosaurs are related to birds. They didn't roar, instead, they squawked like birds.
I busted some more myths that Dr. Binocs missed.

  13. 1:36 actually some mammals could actually eat dinosaurs. In Mongolia the fossil of a dog sized mammal was found with partly digested dinosaur young in its stomach…
