  1. ooof taxes gonna go up guys this aint free. however were in debt already and it will never be paid. might as well milk it

  2. Why ban for profit charter schools if there are many that are amazing, I get some suck, but why ban them out right? Why not do a school voucher so parents can choose. Have you seen the state required exams in NJ for example it is ABSURD. I would gladly send my kid to a school that does not require those ridiculous test. Also we need to gut the corruption in school systems I know Newark, NJ is one of the worst in the country.

  3. The same people who are against abortion are the same people who are against school lunches…..Republican hypocrisy…

  4. But if you ban for profit schools how is poor little Betsy Devos going to be able to pay for her 20th yacht. The left needs to stop going after these poor helpless billionaires

  5. Alrighty…so public sector teacher jobs now get their minimum wage set at $60,000. And people wonder why government is corrupt…people in government with power taking care of those that butter their bread. And this war on Charter Schools…it's disgraceful. Charter schools are filled with kids from poor economic conditions and are incredibly "diverse"…and you want to shut them down simply because they're a threat to the status quo in our FAILING public education system. Shameful.

  6. A lot of kids in the Us only eat one meal per day, and that meal is the free one they get at school, because the economy is so fucking broken a single black mother cant get food on the table. Getting all that welfare money from her 4 kids yet still struggling. Now image working paycheck to paycheck, the schools wanna charge kids $5 for lunch…They are making tons of extra money off of the lunches and things they sell. You got Dead beat parents in some cases who don't feed their kids because they get FREE Food. it's fucked up, then you see the mother and they're usually FAT and BLACK and they don't spend a cent of the welfare money on the kids, The father isn't around because if he was she wouldn't be able to collect her MONEY, that's how our shitty system WORKS.

  7. This is bad news.  Anything Sanders Claus advocates is something the cabal backing him plans to replace with a lump of coal.  What a sheepdog.  He already said he isn't really running and plans to vote for Biden himself.

  8. Why? What's wrong with making lunch sandwiches. Waste of money and time. Of course Bernie will raise taxes to pay for this because he supports war

  9. and who pays for thase free school word to your rich fuckers in the chat people have a hard enough time paying bills as it is they done need to pay more in tax for thase free food for kids

  10. I was a product of a charter school.
The schools in my area really weren’t that good so it was the best option for us. I’m not sure banning charter schools will eliminate the problem.

  11. They better be school meals that kids will actually eat. I always got free school meals and I couldn't eat them, they were so gross.

  12. I feel like Bernie is too old, and that maybe due to this he might feel less inclined to care about environmental reform. Thoughts? Kyle, anyone?

  13. Hyperinflation is caused by government spending too much money, and it then loses value very quickly. Lifetime savings can be wiped out and many people might not be able to afford even basic necessities such as bread.

  14. The Free Stuff Crazy Train is leaving the station and coming to your town, like never.

  15. Sanders will lose! Stop riding on his train because you will be crushed. The mainstream America is not ready for Bernie.

  16. 1:17 I'm one of the "assholes who push numbers around on computer screens" (Software Engineer specifically in my case) working for a major for-profit insurance company getting top-tier compensation and I still agree with Bernie Sanders and support his platform!

  17. …its not FREE if we have to pay more in taxes. Ita like saying that you get free gas, but your mom is the one who is paying for your gas.

  18. Jesus, his campaign slogan really is "free shit". I'd rather pay for this than for another stupid needless war though

  19. This bill is horrendous and is an overreach of Article I Section VIII powers. AISVIII doesn't even grant the federal government the power to regulate or impose education in any way shape or form. Completely unconstitutional.Go fuck yourself. Kyle, Bernie, and the rest of you bigoted progressives.

  20. educating children is one of the most important things you can do, and America treats the education system like its a burden. most people in the US not only are dumb, but champion the concept of being incredibly uneducated. its obvious why the country is so fucked up…

  21. 2:10 – Actually Kyle, Sam Seder had a caller on his show a few months back who actually did get mad at the idea of his taxpayer dollars going towards the feeding of public school kids.

  22. I don’t agree with funding school lunches. Here is my letter to Sen. Sanders explaining why:

    Dear Senator Sanders,

I oppose your proposal for universal free school meals. I do not wish my tax dollars to fund unhealthy lunches that are fueling the obesity epidemic and chronic illnesses. I do not want my tax dollars to subsidize unethical industries such as the meat industry, the dairy industry and the egg industry. I would be willing to support free whole foods-plant based vegan meals.

What National School Lunch Program run by U.S. Department of Agriculture is feeding children is downright child abuse. The school lunches are heavy on animal proteins including: beef, poultry, fish, cheese, milk, yogurt, and eggs. Michael Pollan, the author of “In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto”, described the situation very well, “The school lunch program in America, by and large, is a disposal system for surplus agricultural commodities. Farmers in the industrial food system grow too much of a certain product. The government buys it from them to support their prices and their welfare, and then dumps it on schools. The result is often food that is fatty, high in salt, and highly processed. Because of budgetary problems, many school cafeterias no longer have kitchens; they have giant microwaves. So, they’re utterly dependent on processed food.” To learn more about the sorry state of the American school lunch program, read: https://www.nourishlife.org/2011/03/school-lunch/ Here is another great article: https://foodrevolution.org/blog/school-lunch-in-america/

Animal products have been linked to heart disease, certain type of cancer, stroke, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, obesity, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, and many other chronic and deadly diseases. I encourage you to listen to a lecture by Dr. Michael Greger:

On the other hand, according to Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, "Appropriately planned vegetarian, including vegan, diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits for the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. These diets are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, adolescence, older adulthood, and for athletes." And Harvard said, "A plant-based diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy plant oils can help men stay healthy and ward off heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, and other chronic conditions."

Animal agriculture is the leading cause of climate change, species extinction, ocean dead zones, deforestation, soil erosion, habitat destruction, and water and air pollution. Animal agriculture accounts for at least 32,000 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year, or 51% of all worldwide greenhouse gas emissions. Animal agriculture water consumption ranges from 34-76 trillion gallons annually. Growing feed crops for livestock consumes 56% of water in the US. Livestock or livestock feed occupies 1/3 of the earth’s ice-free land. Livestock covers 45% of the earth’s total land. Animal agriculture is responsible for up to 91% of Amazon destruction. Source: http://www.cowspiracy.com/facts Your colleague, Senator Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez agrees: https://www.cnsnews.com/blog/craig-bannister/rep-alexandria-ocasio-cortez-fighting-climate-change-skip-meat?fbclid=IwAR0wzQ_mQUDmgPCUy6YPPGUlUfDrMwMdbFiVK9dTSLbsqW8XEOWXMZ6ssVI

Animal agriculture causes such extreme suffering to billions of animals that it cannot be expressed in words. I encourage you to watch the documentary, “Dominion”: https://www.dominionmovement.com/

As a taxpayer, I am already forced to subsidize this immorality, but your proposal would allocate even more taxpayer’s money to fund this morally repugnant program. Fix the school lunch program first and only then ask taxpayers to fund it.

  23. Guys listen, we should just make everything free. Just let people have everything they want since that shows, hard work and determination! In Bernie we trust! 💪💪

  24. I would happily pay taxes if my money went to Bernie’s plans. Right now my money goes to put babies in cages and build bombs….

  25. i'm just waiting for the retards to show up an say shit like "i don't have any kids so why should i be paying for someone else's children to eat"
