Art is… with Wendy Woon, head of education department at MoMA

Through art we really understand each other better. I think that right now we are living in
a world that’s very divided. I think that the possibility of
finding common ground through art, through discussions or
even disagreements about what art is or what it should be. I think that it opens up dialogue,
it opens up possibilities and I think it’s much needed for the future. And particularly visual art: we’re living in an
increasingly visual society, where we communicate
more through images than ever before. And the ability to understand them,
to understand their nuances we know that’s going to be critical to the future.
